Pool opens Sunday, May 28, noon to 8 p.m. Remember your Pool tags!


That's right -- our Pool officially opens for the season at noon Sunday, May 28. We'll be open noon to 8 p.m. daily through Labor Day. Sunday bonus: We’ll have free popsicles for the kids (adult versions, too!), hotdogs and snack bags while supplies last. (No food, no glass on the Pool deck, please. Click here for complete Pool rules.)

Also, if you received Pool tags please present them upon entry. If you are among the several dozen residents who still haven't paid or recently paid (it takes time to process and clear checks), please sign in with the guards for a one-time courtesy pass to enjoy our facility.

If you paid but still don't have tags, it's possible you have a property lot violation that needs to be corrected. Contact Board President Scott Thien about that at scottthien@comcast.net.

Eagle Nest is lucky to have such a valuable recreation asset, especially when you consider Indianapolis can only afford to staff eight of its 17 public pools for the entire city this year. And nearby Sahm Park isn't one of them. That underscores why paying your annual Association dues on time is so important to our neighborhood community.

Please be sure to thank our guard staff for all their hard work in preparing the Pool for use this year, and for returning to work for us this season.

The Board is proud to recognize the following lots as winners of our 2023 Curb Appeal Awards, presented to Eagle Nest owners for their outstanding lot and house maintenance. Board Update, 05-22-23: Pool opening, tags in mail; annual Garage Sale; dues deadline June 1; Annual Meeting and Board Election June 15

Summer unofficially begins Memorial Day weekend, and that means our Pool facility will be opening for the season. Our main and wading pools have been power-washed and filled, and our guard team will be working to balance the chemicals this week. Weather permitting, we are targeting noon Sunday for opening, but watch the Eagle Nest blog and our Facebook page for the official day and time. For 2023, hours of operation will be noon to 8 p.m. daily. We have a great lifeguard team in place again this year. Their No. 1 charge? Safety. When it comes to rules, what our guard staff says goes. No exceptions. Violators will be ejected and referred to the Board for further action. Bottomline: This is a family-oriented neighborhood facility, not a public pool playhouse, and want to keep it enjoyable for all. Board update: Pool closing Labor Day, annual dog swim, Curb Appeal Awards, live music coming to Clubhouse!

Pool closes Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 4  All good things come to and end, as the saying goes, and that includes our 2023 Pool season. Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 4, is the last day of operation for our facility, with hours from noon to 8 p.m. It’s been a great summer of swimming, despite a few mechanical and staffing issues, so please be sure to thank Pool Manager Samantha Burns and her lifeguard staff for a job well done. For the most part, our facility was staffed and open daily the entire summer, unlike many of the city’s public pools – including nearby Sahm Park. We hope to see all our guards back next year, but if you know someone interested in joining the Eagle Nest Pool staff, please contact Samantha. In the meantime, enjoy these last days of swimming!
