Pool closes Monday, Sept. 1; hours are noon to 8 p.m.
All good things come to end, as the saying goes. And that
includes our 2025 Pool season.
Monday, Labor Day, is the last day our Pool will be open, with hours of operation from noon to 8 p.m. Note: The deep end will be closed, due to water clarity issues. If we don’t have any swimmers at 7:30 p.m., we’ll shut down at that time to begin the closure process.
Unfortunately, the dog swim tentatively scheduled for 8:01 p.m. has been canceled because we were not able to secure liability releases in time for the event. Next year!
It’s been a great run – open daily since Memorial Day. Not all area neighborhood pool facilities can say that. Even nearby Sahm Park, with all its city resources, has had limited hours of operation. Let’s all thank Pool Manager Samantha Burns and our dedicated guard staff for another successful swim season!
Up next: Car Show on Sept. 21
Our social opportunities don’t end with the Pool’s closure. On Sunday, Sept. 21, join us at the rear Clubhouse parking lot for our second Classic Car Show. It’s free, from noon to 4 p.m., and a great chance meet neighbors and learn about cars from local collectors and enthusiasts.
It’s not just classic cars, though. All cool rides are welcome to join, including motorcycles. Just contact neighborhood organizer Tom Ford at tf1979MGB@gmail.com or 317-979-5564 and he’ll get you plugged in!
$5 Pizza Sale on Sept. 21
As part of the car show, the Board will partner with Domino’s Pizza to sell $5 medium single topping pizzas -- cheese, pepperoni and sausage varieties on a first-come, first-served basis. That’s a lot of food and a great bargain! One pizza per person, please (residents only) Just show your Pool fob and enjoy lunch while checking out some cool cars!
As always, feel free to reach out to any Board member with questions or suggestions. We hope every has a happy and safe Labor Day!
On behalf of the Board,
Scott Thien, President
