Want to keep our neighborhood safe during the storm? Ask your neighbor to move their vehicles
The current winter storm is expected to dump 4-6 inches of new snow Sunday, so the Eagle Nest Board kindly asks all neighbors to move their vehicles off the street this weekend.
This lets our snowplows clear the roads efficiently, meaning a cost savings for the plowing services we all pay for. Keeping the roads clear is also a safety concern -- and just something that good neighbors do.
Think of it this way: Every car left on the street is one small snow island plows have to work around. Clear roads make for a smoother, safer pass for everyone.
Thursday on our blog site and Facebook page, the Board asked neighbors to move their cars out of the way. As of 4 p.m. today, more than 90 percent of homes helped us out
But that left more than 30 cars and trucks in the way of plows. Some of these may have been short-term visitors, but if any of these are your neighbors and you want to gently suggest they help us all out, it would be great to put these vehicles in driveways instead.
Areas of concern where we need your help:
- Dove Court: 8300 block
- Heron Court: 8300 block
- Mockingbird Lane: 8300 block
- Osprey Circle: 8200 block
- Sandpiper Court: 8400 block
- Shrike Court: 7800 and 7900 blocks
- Tanager Lane: 7800, 8000 and 8100 blocks
- Teel Way: 7800 and 7810 blocks
- Tern Court: 8230 block
- Warbler Way: 8100 block
- White Dove Drive: 7700 block
If you see a car still parked out, a quick knock, a friendly text, or a wave across the street as you’re shoveling can make all the difference. Thanks for helping keep Eagle Nest safe, passable and plow-friendly — one lot owner at a time!
