Covenants amendments update: 42% of lots voted, gift card winners announced, final drawing Oct. 30!

Fellow residents,

A sincere thank you to all residents who have submitted their proxy vote in our ongoing covenant amendment campaign. About three and a half months into our effort, we have collected 42% of lot proxies – most in support of our proposals.

But we’re not there yet. We have until Dec. 22 to collect a simple majority of yes or no votes, and we want to ensure we capture as many votes as possible. But we know life is busy, and sometime folks need a little reminder. That’s why the Board has sponsored random $25 gift card drawings to nudge lot owners to vote. We’ve started door-to-door visits to pass out flyers. And we’ve created a special landing page on our blog site with links to a downloadable proxy form and all the related documentation to read up on.

How you can help

If you support protecting property values by banning short-term rentals and maintaining our community aesthetics by clarifying rules on parking and garbage, please turn in your proxy form as soon as possible. If you’ve already voted, talk up our effort and encourage your neighbors to vote and do the same. The Board believes these central issues will define our community’s future.

Drawing winners

In that effort, congratulations to lot owners Jan Sadler (Lot 125) of Mallard Way, R. Howard Lange (Lot 259) of Tanager Lane, and Richard Bellville (Lot 343) of White Dove Court – all randomly selected in our second round of $25 Visa gift cards just for turning in their ballots.

Haven’t voted yet? Please do, and you’ll be eligible for our FINAL random gift card drawing on Friday, Oct. 30. It takes just two seconds to vote yes/check mark four boxes on the proxy form and protect our way of life that makes Eagle Nest the envy of surrounding neighborhoods.

Why leave decisions about our neighborhood’s future to someone else? Fill out your proxy, drop it in our secure Clubhouse mailbox at 8075 Teel Way or email it to our new Association address: MyEagleNestHOA@gmail.com.
