Fourth Annual BrewFest draws dozens of residents; Easter Egg Hunt coming next

Thanks to all who made our 4th Annual Eagle Nest BrewFest a success! We had a great turnout of nearly 40 new/longtime residents from all corners of the neighborhood, all sharing great local brews (OK, and a little wine), free food, gift card giveaways, karaoke (OMG) and an appreciation for all things Eagle Nest! We had two long tables filled with growlers from more than a dozen breweries across Central Indiana ... ales, stouts, IPAs, pilsners, etc.

It was especially fun to meet and talk to our newer residents and hear why they chose to live in our neighborhood, reasons longtimers can relate to: caring, quality residents, a mature neighborhood, easy access to the state's best shopping and the interstate, proximity to downtown and more. We had several guests from nearby neighborhoods who praised our event, saying they wished their associations did something similar. (Kudos to our Social Committee for that!)

The goal of BrewFest was to draw more residents to our Clubhouse -- the heart and centerpiece of our development -- and spur ideas for more activities. Among the ideas suggested: more sports watch parties, kid movie nights, and a WineFest (the Board understands not everyone likes beer!).

In the meantime, if you want to get involved with the Social Committee and help plan events or have other ideas, email member/Director Alice Miley. Also, be sure to bookmark the Events Calendar link for the latest updates in our 2017 social events schedule. Up next: our Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Day and time to be announced soon. Stay tuned!
