This week’s Clubhouse food truck lineup: lobster rolls, personal pan pizzas, pork tenderloins and cupcakes!

Another week of quarantine calls for another week of great food trucks. Swing by the Clubhouse this week for dinner “out” with two great new vendors and an old favorite. And this just in: Simply Divine Cupcakes is returning Sunday! Read on ...

J’s Lobster Food Truck, Tuesday, April 28, 5-8 p.m.: Check out this authentic New England menu: lobster rolls, blue crab rolls, shrimp rolls, all regular or spicy, drizzled with butter, dressed with shredded lettuce, a dash of Old Bay seasoning and mayo on a toasted bun. (Gluten-free orders served on a bed of lettuce also available.) And, of course, they have lobster, crab or shrimp mac and cheese! Your mouth watering yet?

Founded in Chicago five years ago, J’s Lobster moved operations to Indianapolis and has fast become a foodie favorite. You probably have seen them at Colts games, Fountain Square, Military Park and other hot spots around the metro area. And coming this fall 2020: a location in Bottleworks on Mass Ave. in downtown Indianapolis!

You will be amazed at the huge chunks of claw and knuckle lobster, and sweetness of the shrimp and the light smoothness of the crab. Menu below; tasty photos on InstagramIt’s the perfect trip to New England without leaving the neighborhood. See you in line!

Jet’s Pizza, Thursday, April 30, 5-8 p.m.: Our longtime summer partner and neighborhood favorite is back! Jet’s will be selling $5 personal pizzas (pepperoni, sausage and cheese), boxed and ready to go. CASH ONLY.

Union Jack Pub Grub, Sunday, May 3, 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.: If you have been to Broad Ripple (who hasn’t?), you know there’s no shortage of great food. Like Union Jack Pub Grub, a B’Rip staple for nearly 40 years. The popular crowd favorite is bringing the best classic American comfort pub foods for your gustatory pleasure!

There are some indulgent carb-packed starters like cheese and sloppy joe fries or Bavarian pretzel bread sticks with queso. For entrees, you'll find classic bar fare like fish and chips, pulled pork and pork tenderloins. Non-carnivores will love the veggie wrap, seitan wings and mac and cheese.

Due to CDC and state Health Department guidelines, Union Jack prefers orders and payment through its online Square portal – no cash or credit cards to minimize physical interaction. Walkup orders and payment still will be accepted, but it may take longer for your food.

Preorders are allowed, with pickup any time between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Once your order is placed, it typically takes 15 to 20 minutes.

Food truck menu below. Surf their Facebook and Instagram pages for more info. Bottom line, Union Jack is a great way to finish off the weekend as we look ahead to possibly another week of remote work and home schooling. Yay!

And this just in: Simply Divine Cupcakes is returning to Eagle Nest at the same time and will be parked next to Union Jack for a great desert option!

As always, please respect CDC guidelines on social distancing, and be careful entering and leaving the Clubhouse parking lot so you don't run over fellow neighbors.

If you have food truck contacts or suggestions, please contact Board President Scott Thien at scottthien@comcast.net. In the meantime, watch the Eagle Nest blog and Facebook page for more neighborhood outreach efforts as we work through the COVID-19 crisis. Stay safe, stay healthy!
