REMINDER: Santa drive-thru this Sunday (IMPD donation collections, too!)

Hello, Eagle Nest residents!

Grab the kids and your camera phone -- Santa, Mrs. Claus and an elf or two are coming Sunday (December 19)! Starting at 3:30 p.m., their annual trek through the neighborhood will begin at 82nd Street, then head south along Teel Way. They will hit every court and side street along the way, so be ready for his candy toss and fun family photo opportunities!

The farther you live from 82nd Street, the later Santa's visit. Last year, his tour took about two hours with all the stops for selfies and family photos. (At this writing, more than two dozen families have requested stops.) But don’t worry – we’ll hit every corner of our development. Want to ensure you're on Santa's list of stops? Email scottthien@comcast.net. We look forward to seeing you this holiday season!

Donation drive for IMPD's substation on Sunday, too!

That's right, Santa's sleigh (OK, a decorated pickup) will have plenty of room to collect donations for IMPD's substation in the Shadeland Station plaza. Anything is fair game, so if you’re at the store this weekend please pick up an extra non-perishable food item or two. No donation is too big or too small. Frequently requested items include:
  • Drinks like Gatorade, Powerade, soft drinks, teas
  • Kirkland Italian mineral water (specifically requested!)
  • Frozen items (chicken pita melts, taquitos, breakfast sandwiches, individual quiches, etc.)
  • Shelf-stable microwaveable meals
  • Frito Lay variety pack chips, energy bars, crackers
  • Disinfectant wipes and cleaning supplies
Want to donate something later? Contact Eagle Nest Vice President Jason Van Meter at jpvanmeter@sbcglobal.net to arrange a pickup. Thanks in advance for your support. Happy holidays, everyone!
